Ms. Lydia Vourlidi holds an LLB Law (Hons) with Distinction from Middlesex University. She also holds a Higher Education Certificate in Shipping with Distinction from Plymouth University. She is currently pursuing an LLM in Maritime Law and Shipping Management at Frederick University, Cyprus.

An upcoming lawyer, Ms. Vourlidi has already established herself as a key contributor in litigation, assisting her seniors in a wide range of cases. She has worked on real estate disputes, employment matters, criminal cases, and white-collar crime investigations, demonstrating her versatility and strong legal acumen.

Notably, in Greece, she gained hands-on experience in maritime law, particularly in cases involving shipping agent liabilities, insurance claims, classification societies, and seafarers’ accidents at sea. Ms. Vourlidi has shadowed and assisted in numerous maritime cases, further expanding her expertise in this specific area.

Ms. Vourlidi has supported senior professionals by conducting in-depth research, analyzing maritime laws and regulations, preparing case files, assisting with evidence gathering, and drafting legal documents. Ms. Vourlidi has worked on a range of financial crime cases in the UAE, demonstrating her ability to handle complex, high-value disputes. One notable case she contributed to was the recovery of 1.4 million USD for a client, where she assisted senior colleagues in navigating intricate legal and financial procedures. This experience has strengthened her expertise in managing financial crime matters with a high level of precision.

In addition to her work in financial crime, Ms. Vourlidi has gained significant experience in handling employment disputes, including labour complaints and matters involving the liability of both employers and employees. She has worked on cases related to non-compete violations, employee liability, as well as issues such as siphoning and embezzlement. Her comprehensive experience in these areas has equipped her with the skills to address a wide range of complex legal challenges within the context of employment law and employer-employee relations.
