Mr. Abdul Sattar Pirzada is a fourth-generation Barrister from the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, continuing a storied family legacy of legal excellence. As the Co-Founder and Partner at Khaled Almarri & Partners, based in Dubai, he plays a pivotal role in navigating the UAE’s dynamic legal landscape. Simultaneously, he serves as the Head of Chambers and Litigation Head at Hafeez Pirzada Law Associates (HPLA) in Pakistan, cementing his influence across multiple jurisdictions.

With a career spanning over two decades, Mr. Pirzada is known for his prowess in handling high-stakes cases. He has been at the forefront of major arbitration proceedings in the UAE, Pakistan, Singapore, and Europe, where he has tackled complex disputes involving embezzlement, family discord, siphoning of funds, and cross-border commercial conflicts. His sharp litigation skills and strategic approach have earned him accolades, including consistent recognition by The Legal 500 as a “professional, dedicated, and exceptional lawyer.”

Mr. Pirzada’s legal acumen covers a diverse range of practice areas, including Arbitration, Civil Litigation, Corporate and Commercial law, Constitutional Law, Construction Disputes, Intellectual Property, and International Trade. In the UAE, he has acted in contentious matters related to Corporate Fraud, Contractual Disputes, and Real Estate, helping clients navigate Dubai’s robust legal framework.

Mr. Pirzada carries forward the legacy of his father, the late Abdul Hafeez Pirzada, a celebrated Senior Advocate and the principal architect of Pakistan’s 1973 Constitution. He is considered as the leading legal expert in Pakistan, in various fields of law,  including, pharmaceutical laws and regularly acts as an external advisor to the majority of various local and multinational pharmaceutical companies and their respective parent associations, including the Pharma Bureau of Pakistan, the Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers’ Association and the Pakistan Chemists’ and Druggists’ Association.

Similarly, he regularly acts on behalf of the Pakistan Sugar Manufacturers Associations and its vast multitude of members in contentious and non-contentious matters. He also advises and represents other local and multinational entities in the tobacco, aviation, food and beverage and banking sectors.

Mr. Pirzada has also represented a number of Government institutions in Pakistan, including the Federal Board of Revenue, Government of Sindh, Competition Commission, Privatization Commission of Pakistan and the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan. He successfully defended the privatization of K-Electric on behalf of the Privatization Commission of Pakistan, as a result of which, the transaction was declared legal by the Honourable High Court of Sindh at Karachi.
